What is Ttakjeechigee?

Ttakjeechigee has one of the most popular Korean traditional games with Ttakjee made out of paper. It is still popular, particularly among young boys. It is really easy to make Ttakjee and all you need to make Ttakjee is papers. You need 2 players or more to play the game.

How do you make Ttakjee?

You need two sheets of paper that are folded together. With two different colors of paper, you can make a more fancy one. First, fold a piece of paper into thirds. Then fold the left corner up and the right corner down. Repeat these steps with another paper. Place those two pieces together to shape across. Then fold triangles inside one by one. And now, it's ready to play. Make many Ttakjee to fully enjoy the game with your friends.

How do you play Ttakjeechigee?

The rules are very simple. One player leaves his/her ttakjee on the ground and the other player must hit hard with his/her own ttakjee. Once ttakjee gets flipped over, the other player gets that ttakjee. Whoever gets the most ttakjee wins. You can draw some lines so that ttakjee that went out of the lines while being hit can be taken by another player.

Any special tips?

It can be more fun if you write a mission on each side of Ttakjee for the players to follow when Ttakjee gets turned over. It can be something like hopping with one leg for 10 seconds just to make it more fun.
